A bit of brightness

Just a couple of days ago.
And a kite robbing the rooks' nests
on a cold and frosty morning

Beautiful sunshiney day......I'm envious.

And the kite--BAD BIRDIE!
*sigh*

Himself hollered "WHOA!" from the kitchen yesterday.
I'd been marveling at the bazillion of finches in the yard feasting on the seeds uncovered in a brief thaw......and a sharpshinned hawk decided to swoop down to help himself to one.
I'm still feeling crappy about that one.

G'head--tell me 'circle of life' and all that crud.....still feels bad and I'm MAD at the hawky guy.
*sad sigh*

Hunger pains in the hawk's belly or sadness for Mel? Somebody hurts either way. At least your condemned finch ate a hearty breakfast :)
I doubt if my kite would have risked tangling his big wings up in the trees if he (or she) could have got dinner anywhere easier!

Oh Mig, How I've missed your beautiful photos! I will try to get over to England more often. Best wishes for the coming year. :-)
