Graveyards and yewberries

I visited our tiny local graveyard this afternoon in search of yew berries. (Ever so poisonous but they glow gorgeously among the dark spiky leaves)
which I found along with an angel, A neat little bell tower (they do bell ringing there on Wednesday evenings)A gate with a cross cut in itand a view from one Horse chestnut tree to anotherI was a bit suprised to see an alien visiting the churchyardBut on closer inspection it turned out to be only a mirror. Then I was early for my yellow fever vaccination appointment and lo and behold, found another churchyard. Then I was late for my appointment.

Oh, Mig--how did you KNOW that I love a good cemetary photo/gravestone photo?!

Yes, it would seem that I'm a bit on the quirky side. (go figure!)

The angel is gorgeous--they're all wonderful.
There's something about photos like this that make me look closer and breathe quieter. It feels like a priviledge to even get an opportunity to look.

I'm not surprised you didn't make the appointment....but I'm certain you'll reschedule.

Hic. LT you're always welcome. I read yours sometimes and enjoy and then can't think of anything to say :)
I was lucky with the appt Mel. Barney's was five minutes after mine and he got there five minuts early so I had his appt and he had mine. nurse was perfectly happy to swop.

Great graveyards batman! I always seek them out when I'm visiting England...the dates go so much further back than over here..

I'm sort of glad it worked that way, but glad you swapped with Barney, as these pictures are wonderful - only now I want you to go back (or do something with photosupermarket or whatever it is called) and show us the angel in more detail. . .

. . .and maybe a close up of the lichen on the gravestones. . .

. . .and what about a really really close up of the yew berry. . .

. . .and even one of the mirror with you taking a photo of you in the reflection. . .

. . .and and and

hmm

oops, got carried away and became slightly overzealous

sorry

;-)

Ah, the stories in graveyards Mangey :)

I could do with a photosupermarket Frangelita. Have to make do with a clunky old photoshop though :)

Thank you Star, and hey, graveyards are generally green and peaceful places with lovely weathered stone and ancient yew trees. What's not to love about them :)
Oh dead people. hmm, well eventually that's all of us so probably not too big a problem!
