Fairy whatsits
I looked out of the bathroom window this afternoon and saw these white blobs in the orchard (no glasses on). Went to investigate and look!!! Mushrooms!
Lots of mushrooms.
I swear they weren't there this morning!
We had them for dinner and so, I hope, did the neighbours. (I gave them half in return for the steady stream of marvellous fresh green stuff that appears on our doorstep of a morning.

Dee-lightful! Bring on the shrooms!
You've destroyed the fairies' homes!
Lovely colours and great photos. And a wise gal to know which of those things you can actually eat. Leastwise I'm hoping you were right--or the neighbours relationship with you is sure to change. ;-)
But gosh..... all those homeless fairies!
love the picture!
and the mushroom look so edible! (I'm hoping you are either incredibly knowledgable or checked in some manual or other. . . don't want to lose you to another tummy bug)
Actually, it is amazing what we can do with what we find in nature, is it not?
Love the pictures too!
There are other shrooms in the garden Mangey...only we aren't competant to judge if they're wild and dangerous or wild and exciting! Shame :)
They had every chance to move house Fran...we put out a notice of planning pemission applied for: change of use from living quarters to eating purposes. Not to mention advance notices of demolition! Course the notices were all displayed in the houseowner's head office so it's possible the fairies didn't get to see them!
We feel fairly confident about regular mushrooms Mel and I but I wouldn't risk any of the other ones! Since not all of them come labelled with red and white polka dot patterns! Anyway, no ambulances next door :)
Thank you Barbara. Nature can be a good egg :)
Fairies are magic so they'd be well aware beforehand .... didn't you KNOW??
You mean we did all that official looking stuff for nothing!!! Huh!
