Would you believe it?

I am cautiously declaring this not to be so bad after all.
I'm not sure if I can do email on this machine...not quite sure whether I let it configure anything or not but it connected itself to my wireless router without any fuss or bother!
so I'm guessing it will connect me to any old wireless thingy!
Wow!
One thing's for sure though...I either get a mouse or I learn to use the keyboard. This wiggle your finger business is going to drive me mad!

Er, got to try and change the keyboard settings now.

Well, I recently went back to using a mouse which made my hand ache all over!

no no no

a mouse - it has to be a mouse!

- oh well, it's not up to me, is it!

I'm not for wiggling fingers at all - I have a mouse which plugs in at the side

for a while I had a remote mouse, which was a range of interesting colours (depending on its mood possibly, or mine perhaps?) but it wasn't attached and I think one of the cats ate it

either that or it found a hole it liked the look of and went exploring and decided not to come back

actually, I probably lost it

can't be doing with the finger wiggling at all - the touch sensitive pad is in the wrong place on the keyboard completely!

different strokes (or clicks) for different folks (or chicks), eh!

Mice make my hand ache already Thursday, I was just adding a new ache! I'm also getting brain strain from stopping myself reaching for the mouse when I need to be sliding the finger.

Ooh different strokes indeed I. I do have a remote mouse but it's currently connected to the desktop...I suspect that's going to be the answer. And I so agree about the touch pad! Whoever thought it was a good idea to have it in the middle? It ought to be on a fold-out slide-about flap so you can have it wherever you like. And the Beep once suggested a trackball (for mouse related wrist-ache)which might be a very good idea but I haven't got round to geting one yet.

Happy New Year Mig!!! just been catching upwith all your posts, glad you had a great christmas and new year, and thanks for your christmas greetings.

seriously jealous of your new laptop, I need one of those too, we fight a lot about whose turn it is and this room is so much colder. hope you get used to the wiggling finger business, I used to have one of those trackerball things though and it was fantastic, though Andrew thought it silly. hope it keeps going well, oh, both the year and the laptop!! x
